Wellness is becoming one of the UAE’s most consistent lifestyle priorities. People are paying closer attention to how they manage their time, their energy, and the routines that help them stay balanced. Conversations around rest, recovery, movement, and mental clarity have moved into the mainstream. A development built entirely around wellbeing fits naturally into this moment.

AMRA enters that landscape with a clear focus. Described as the world’s first “Integrative Wellness Resort,” it approaches the idea through practical features that support daily habits. The aim is to create an environment where wellness feels integrated rather than added on, giving people space to maintain their routines without disruption.

The resort is being developed along the coastline of Umm Al Quwain, within a protected Blue Carbon Zone shaped by mangroves, open water, and a steady natural rhythm. The surroundings set a tone of clarity from the outset. The calm environment gives AMRA a foundation that aligns with its purpose and allows the resort to take its cues from the landscape around it.

Wellness facilities are distributed across three sea-facing towers. Yoga and Pilates studios sit alongside hydrotherapy and cryotherapy rooms while outdoor areas give guests room to move freely, whether through walking, stretching, or simply spending time outside. The setup is straightforward, making it easy for people to build routines that match their own preferences.

The design continues in the same direction. Interiors use materials such as wood, stone, and soft textiles, creating a sense of familiarity. Rooms are oriented toward the water, and the shared spaces are arranged to support longer periods of use. The atmosphere remains steady and measured throughout, with an emphasis on comfort and clarity.

AMRA is also shaped with longer stays in mind. The co-working areas are built to function like real workspaces, with proper desks, reliable power access, and daylight that makes remote hours feel manageable. The social rooms are designed for unhurried time with quieter pockets threaded throughout the property for anyone who prefers a bit of separation. Altogether, the resort makes it easy to keep a routine while settling into a slower rhythm.

Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson front AMRA’s first campaign, bringing a familiar shorthand to the lifestyle the resort leans toward. Their involvement adds recognisability and puts familiar faces within the environment in a way that reflects the lifestyle AMRA promotes. They move through the spaces naturally, giving a straightforward view of the property’s atmosphere.

Scheduled to open in 2028, AMRA arrives as interest in wellness-focused living grows across the UAE. Increasingly, people want environments that support routine, ease, and long-term clarity. AMRA mirrors that direction through a consistent approach to space, rhythm, and daily wellbeing. It leaves you wondering whether this slower, steadier mindset is where the region’s lifestyle is headed.
