Sad news in Dubai, as developer Nakheel has announced their plans to redevelop the Pointe, driving out more than 30 restaurants in the once buzzing area.

If you’ve been thinking about visiting The Pointe to try out one of their restaurants, you better get your move on, and fast. Here’s the ones you’re going to want to visit before the spot is gone.

The top spots to visit at The Pointe before they close

Argentina Grill

pointe1

“Giving you passion is my life!”, says Emilia, the Argentinian owner of this hidden gem. This restaurant takes pride in its authentic asado grill cooking techniques, featuring three Argentinean parrillas and a traditional Josper grill in its kitchen. If dry-aged beef lovers needed anything more than the photo above as a reason to go, it boasts Dubai’s largest meat-ripening chamber. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a vibrant and lively atmosphere, with bright and colorful interiors adorned with captivating art and the sounds of lively Latino music. The menu showcases a delightful fusion of Spanish and Italian cuisines, offering an array of delectable dishes such as melt in your mouth steak, tantalizing seafood, refreshingly zesty salads, and mouthwatering burgers.

CMP Bar and Grill

pointe2

Nestled on the picturesque Palm Jumeirah bay, CMP Bar & Grill emerged as a true gem among Dubai’s culinary scene. Since its inception in 2018, this home-grown establishment has earned well-deserved acclaim, solidifying its status as an award-winning cosmopolitan cocktail bar and a contemporary American-style steakhouse. Just order the 24-hour shirt rib and the sticky toffee pudding (trust me) and you’re in for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary.

Chuan

the pointe dubai

I dare you to try and find something on this 40-something page menu that you wouldn’t want to inhale. You literally won’t be able to. With signature small-plates of well known (and original) Chinese classics elevated to the heights of culinary excellence, Head Chef Yonghe Sun shows you exactly why this restaurant has earned more than 10 prestigious awards in its short time since opening. This place is somewhat pricey and pretty snazzy, but, the man has literally cooked for the Queen (of England, but I felt the need to clarify considering his extensive resume of monarchs and world leaders). Come visit before they shut their doors to try the most mind-blowing seafood or peking duck you’ve ever had.

Joonam

pointe4

We have zero questions on why this must-go spot translates to “my dear” in Fārsī. Joonam brings you the best of traditional Persian cuisine that has only been enhanced by their five star level of care. To quote the owner, “Every dish that leaves our kitchen is something we are proud of because it was prepared with love”. The menu artfully reimagines the essence of authentic Persian cuisine without taking too many liberties. It really might be the best Iranian food you’ve ever had. Just don’t tell Mama-Joon that.

 Mura

the pointe dubai

This Italian spot is probably different to any one that you’ve been to before. From their beautiful decor featuring lemon twinkled foliage to their signature Shisha and music, this dry (no-alcohol) restaurant lets the food speak for itself. They definitely play the hits  (and damn well) with their unctuous pasta and pizza offerings, but you absolutely cannot say Ciao without giving any of their signature desserts a try.

ZOR

pointe6

With a goal of putting Uzbek cuisine on the map, here, authenticity reigns supreme. Each dish, drink, and the atmosphere is meticulously crafted to honor the rich tapestry of Uzbek cuisine. Prepare to savor every bite, bursting with the tantalizing flavors of this unique and amazing culture. ZOR’s artistic culinary presentation and flare (think Nusret if it was worth going to) is a testament to their unwavering commitment to putting on for their home, ensuring that every morsel leaves guests awestruck and captivated.

Hook & Cook

pointe7

Finally, being so close to the Palm waters is going to have you craving seafood. This haven for it is a hidden gem that exceeds expectations. With a petite terrace and charming interiors, it boasts a cozy nautical theme, creating an inviting atmosphere with even more inviting plates. Indulge in a seafood lover’s dream with anything worth eating under the sea that is grilled, steamed, mixed in with a perfect pairing, or stir-fried. We’ve heard the can’t-miss signature here is the Salmon Wellington. With crispy pastry, a rich pesto-spinach sauce, and perfectly-cooked fish, that sounds pretty good to me.
