For anybody looking to gauge the temperature of fashion’s top brands right now, well the Lyst Index for Q2 of 2023 has just dropped and it has some interesting findings.

For the first time ever, Jonathan Anderson’s Loewe is named as the world’s hottest brand, moving up from fifth place in Q1 to bump Prada down into second spot.

It’s certainly been quite a year for the LVMH Spanish luxury fashion house, with the extension of its pixelated collab with On, as well as presenting the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize in New York and creating custom looks for Beyonce’s sell-out Renaissance world tour.

The Lyst Index is a quarterly ranking of fashion’s hottest brands and products, and is aligned with a premium shopping app.

As for the rest of the top 10, well after Prada comes Versace, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Moncler, Gucci and Dior. If you’re wondering on Pharrell Williams’ Louis Vuitton, well that climbs two places to number 11.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Loewe features at the sharp end of the top five products list. Here, according to the Lyst Index, are the must-have products on the planet right now.
