Men’s Arab Fashion Week made its triumphant return to to Dubai, bringing the region the best of what the industry has to offer to the region.
Following last year’s virtual success, the much-anticipated event returned to in-person shows at Dubai Design District, in collaboration with the Arab Fashion Council.
d3-based designers were joined by regional and international talent from Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Jordan, the UK, France, Switzerland, and the US, with contrasting styles that showed the range of what men’s fashion has to offer today, aired to the world live through Meta.
Here are five of our favorite looks from the dynamic and spirited show.
ANOMALOUS

This brand, just like its Creative Director – Rabih Rowell, was born out of Lebanon. “Anomalous,” which is derived from ‘Anomalous Monism’, is a theory that describes dualism in design. The collection verges between structured and unstructured, infusing elements of urban wear, utility wear, and ready-to-wear all in one. As versatile as its wearer, Anomalous clothing is carefully constructed with a range of fabrics including cotton and denim, spandex, and reflective tissue, to silk and vegan leather.
ZAID FAROUKI

The collection was visibly a reflection of Zaid Farouki’s own identity, offering garmets with a decidedly Arab-American spirit. The pieces featured a combination of structured and unstructured baggy silhouettes with an Arab touch.
MICHAEL CINCO

Cinco has a knack for adding embellishments that elevate looks built for special occasions. As always, a Michael Cinco fashion show must be a show first and foremost, with this wekeen’d sshow choosing to take us on a trip through his ‘The Impalpable Dream of The Voyager’.
MAISON DU MEC

The brand’s creative director, Joseph Jachachian, presented the Fall-Winter 2022-2023 collection of Maison du Mec to give real answers for real people, bringing fashion fantasy possible to everyday life. In his mind, the Maison du Mec man exercises the right to perform through life and not just stumble upon in it.
AMATO

The creative director of the renowned label Amato Couture presented his Eden FW22/23 – inspired by the tree of life. The collection showcased unexpected looks which were all dominated by gold with Animalia print in silk chiffon. The gold fabric was meant to portray the glory of Eden through its metallic shine. The show was star studded, with guests such as Miss Universe first runner-up and Miss Universe Paraguay 2021 Nadia Ferreira, Miss Universe Colombia 2020 Laura Olascuaga, Tiktok Viral Star Elvir Aljicevic, Dubai-based Influencer Charlie Albo, Pakistani Actress Hareem Farooq, Emirati Billionaire Youtuber Rashed Belhasa ‘Money Kicks’, Bollywood actress and superstar Urvashi Rautela and younger brother Yashraj Rautela were are among the stars who walked the Amato runway.
