Sure, Nevermind was pretty monumental in shaping the soundtrack of the entire 1990s. And if you found yourself on America’s west coast, chances of you howling “I don’t ever wanna feeeeel…” down Sunset Blvd are highly plausible, but for those whose wardrobe didn’t consist of flannels, ripped jeans and bandanas, Shania Twain was the musical architect of that decade. Twain’s Come on Over was the second highest selling album of the ’90s (Metallica‘s black album sits at number one – I really did not expect that), and now she is bringing her iconic tunes to Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi on November 25.

Continuing her sold-out global tour in support of her latest album, Queen of Me, the concert coincides with Abu Dhabi’s Formula One Grand Prix weekend. Joining her, among others, are DJ Tiesto, Ava Max, and concluding the big race-day concert, legendary rock band The Foo Fighters on November 26.

“Adding an artist of Shania’s calibre to our line-up featuring some of the world’s biggest names, including Foo Fighters, Tiësto and Ava Max, not only demonstrates the scale of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but also adds to the diversity of entertainment we are offering fans as we see demands from varying fan demographics evolve year-on-year” said Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO, Ethara. “We look forward to announcing our final act over the coming weeks for what will be a memorable weekend in Abu Dhabi”.

The weekend will conclude the longest season in Formula One history, and will undoubtedly evoke any and all memories of a time before smartphones, when the only thing that mattered was your Walkman and good vibes.
