Crafted by Royal Salute’s Master Blender Sandy Hyslop, the precious whiskies celebrate the ceremonial gun salute, a beloved ritual that has marked royal British occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries for centuries.
The 62 Gun Salute Collection proudly introduces two remarkable new expressions to join its award-winning cornerstone, the Original Reserve – The American Oak Reserve and the Peated Reserve. These powerful, long-lasting blends pay homage to British monarchy and heritage, elevating the legacy of the collection through their distinctive flavors and jewel-toned bottles inspired by the crown jewels.
The collection’s Original Reserve, in a sapphire blue bottle, and the American Oak Reserve, in ruby red, both earned Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2024. The Original Reserve charms with sweet orange, nutty oak, and a touch of smoke, while the American Oak Reserve presents flavors of vanilla fudge, tropical fruits, and butterscotch. Completing the trio, the Double Gold-winning Peated Reserve, in an emerald green bottle, captivates with notes of dark cherry, green apple, and sweet peat smoke, enhancing the collection’s prestigious legacy.
Blind Tiger at Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel was the suitably sophisticated venue for the UAE’s grand reveal of the two exceptional 62 Gun Salute expressions: The Original Reserve and The American Oak Reserve. To honor the tradition, the event featured an impressive display with ceremonial guards unveiling the bottles after a dramatic gun salute, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that captured the essence of British heritage.
Guests also indulged in an exclusive tasting experience led by Peter Prentice, Global Prestige Relationship Director, who expertly guided them through the distinctive flavors crafted from over 50 of Scotland’s finest malt and grain whiskies. Following the tasting, guests were invited to infuse quality cigars with their preferred selection from the Royal Salute portfolio, adding a luxurious finish to the evening.
Globally renowned jeweler Graff joined Royal Salute as a prestigious partner for the 62 Gun Salute event, celebrating the proud British roots shared by both brands. Known for its extraordinary diamonds, Graff’s expertise highlighted the ‘crown jewel’ of the whisky bottle design, symbolizing luxury, craftsmanship, and excellence. The vibrant jewel-toned bottles of the 62 Gun Salute collection, beautifully mirrored Graff’s heritage of crafting exquisite gems, underscoring a mutual commitment to timeless British luxury.
The Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Original Reserve and The American Oak Reserve are now available in the UAE. The Peated Reserve, exclusively for travel retail, will be available at Dubai Duty Free from January 2025.
