The Saville Row tailor and menswear icon has teamed up with Italian furniture makers, Poltrona Frau for a collection of interiors so luxurious you’ll never want to leave the house.
Debuting the collection at Dubai’s upcoming Downtown Design on November 8, the ‘Culture and Craft’ showcase blends the joviality of African aesthetics, historic soul of British tailoring, and renaissance of Italian craftsman ship, resulting in an unprecedented collection for avant-garde living.
Known for his affinity of iridescent patterns in his designs, Boateng’s creative flair was on full blast at London Design Week 2023, where his collaboration with Poltrana Frau made its debut. The partnership marks the first foray into interiors for Boateng whose transformational impact on menswear fashion spans more than three decades, including several Hollywood blockbusters, notably for England’s most notoriously well dressed secret agent, James Bond.
“I’m delighted to personally unveil my collaboration with Poltrona Frau at Downtown Design, a collection which harnesses my exploration of African patterns, and Poltrona Frau’s heritage of Italian design excellence,” said Boateng. “From the onset, there was an instant connection through craft, construction and attention to detail with Poltrona Frau. The Poltrona Frau and Ozwald Boateng Culture and Craft collection will be on display during the 10th edition of Downtown Design from November 8 to 11 alongside the Poltrona Frau and Ceccotti Collezioni DUO collection. Following the design fair, all products will be available at the Poltrona Frau Jumeirah Showroom.
