Are you in the UAE and scratching your head because Instagram isn’t loading? You’re not alone.

Instagram, the popular photo-sharing app, is facing an unexpected outage across the country, leaving users puzzled and posts unshared.

This issue isn’t just for a select few. According to Down Detector, a platform that monitors website glitches, the problems started kicking in at around 8 AM this morning. The disruption is widespread, affecting desktop and mobile applications alike, irrespective of whether you’re an iPhone or Android user.

At this moment, it’s still a bit of a mystery as to how long the Instagram downtime will last. The company has not yet released any statements on the issue, leaving the users in the UAE waiting with bated breath and unscrolled feeds.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first hiccup for Instagram this year. Earlier in 2023, Instagram, along with its Meta companions—WhatsApp and Facebook—also experienced a downtime, throwing the social media sphere into a brief panic.

So, for now, it might be time to take a little digital detox until Instagram sorts out its issues and returns to our screens.
