God of War: Ragnarok is now Sony’s fastest-selling game exclusive.
Sony confirmed this via Twitter. It revealed that Ragnarok 2, the sequel to 2018, sold 5.1 million copies within its first week. This makes it the fastest-selling PlayStation title of all time, and also sets a new record for the God of War franchise.
The Last of Us II’s record of four million was broken by Ragnarok in just three days. It also leads Marvel’s Spider-Man record of 3 million copies and God of War record of 3.1 million.
God of War Ragnarok is just three days old and already leads the 2022 Game Awards. It has a total of ten nods, including Game of the Year.
