KOA, the unique architectural concept that promises to rejuvenate residential living within the Middle East, has collaborated with Cuadro Gallery in DIFC on a unique exhibition that showcases Cuadro’s most exciting regional and international artists.
Exhibited in unconventional fashion, the KOA Canvas show apartment allows you to interact with the art within an actual living space – providing a more homely experience that’s a far-cry from the pristine pretensions of some stuffier art galleries.
Conceived and designed with the ’next generation’ of Dubai creatives and entrepreneurs in mind, KOA is an arts-focused Dubai-based architectural concept, encouraging collaboration, community engagement, and luxury living with a difference.
“KOA is passionate about supporting regional talent, and pride ourselves on our collaborative spirit, so we’re delighted to partner with some of the region’s most outstanding creative for our first exhibition.” stated KOA founder Mohammed Bin Zaal, as this month sees KOA’s first ever collaboration with an art gallery.
The Cuadro Fine Art Gallery, founded in 2008 as one of the UAE’s premier contemporary and modern art venues, will ensure that this showcase apartment includes a worthy selection of Cuadro’s emerging and established artists including Jaffar Al Oraibi, Zeinab Al Hashemi, The Connor Brothers, Brad Downey, Alex de Fluvia, and Hunt Slonem amongst many others.
Curator of Cuadro Gallery, Adam Hardy comments: “Cuadro Gallery are excited to collaborate with KOA by showcasing a full breath of artworks, by their established and emerging artists, in such a cutting edge setting. The artworks will be rotated and updated during the coming months to allow the audience to engage in Cuadro’s international contemporary art platform, with carefully selected artworks being site specific to the unique space.”
The exhibition will run until August 31, 2017.
