Yachting enthusiasts and prospective buyers alike are getting ready for the long awaited return of the annual Dubai International Boat Show. From March 9 – 13, four hundred boats, yachts, watercrafts and other recreational water-sport equipment will be showcased at the highly anticipated event. In addition, a collection of 50 superyachts, literally – floating mansions – will also be on display, from leading marques including Feadship, Princess, Majesty, Nomad, Cranchi, Lurssen, San Lorenzo and more.

Hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), the show will take place in the newly developed Dubai Harbour, which boasts the city’s first superyacht marina, capable of housing boats up to a sprawling 160m long.

The Middle East is one of the world’s most active leisure maritime hubs, accounting for 12.6 percent of superyacht owners globally. Dubai in particular, has carved a place for itself on the world stage as being one of the top 10 luxury marine capitals. The Dubai International Boat Show, celebrating its 28th year this year, has become one of the most highly anticipated and important events within the international luxury yachting community.

Although the event had to be cancelled for the past two years due to Covid, the pandemic has hardly slowed the industry down. As Trixie LohMirman, Executive Vice President of Events Management at DWTC states, “The challenges of the last two years have sparked a desire for a more outdoor, spatial lifestyle, which in turn promises new growth opportunities for the industry. The leisure marine industry has continue to thrive in this period.”
