Next Saturday on August 27, the 2022 Asia Cup kicks off in the UAE and cricket fans have been in online queues for hours trying to get tickets to the highly anticipated India v Pakistan match. Now, event organised Platinum List have made more tickets available, but as part of a multi match package deal.
“Please note that according to the organisers, India-Pakistan tickets will now be available only in packages with other matches.”
The tournament will take place in Dubai and Sharjah and will run until September 11.
Second batch already selling fast
This means that fans won’t be able to just purchase tickets to see the big match. They can now only choose from various multi day pass deals with many only offering tickets to premium seating areas such as Platinum, The Grand Lounge and Sky Box. So be sure to grab your tickets while you still can here.

Platinum list had anticipated incredibly high ticket demand and set up an online queuing system for fans to purchase tickets on a first come, first served basis. Cricket fans sat for hours in the queue with many finding out that they were too late as all the tickets had sold out in just three hours after becoming available.
Reselling tickets is illegal
Attempting to capitalise on the ticket demand, some crafty people have bought tickets and are trying to resell them at a higher price to cricket fans desperate to attend the Asia Cup.
Platinum list are aware of this and have stated that it is against the law to resell tickets and have warned people that attempting these second hand tickets won’t be accepted upon entry.

“Customers are advised not to purchase Platinum List branded tickets resold through so-called secondary ticketing websites or online selling sites as it is possible the ticket may not be valid for entry or will be cancelled.”
Cricket fans can now laugh at non cricket fans who’ve purchased tickets to take advantage of people as they’ve wasted money on a ticket to a tournament they didn’t want to go to and can’t sell.
