The finals of Miss Universe 2023 – yes, that is still a thing – are upon us! In fact, held in El Salvador on Saturday November 18, 2023, this year marks the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, with the two-week long event culminating with both Miss Lebanon (Maya Aboul Hosn) and Miss Philippines (Michelle Dee) qualifying for the final.

The contestants, competing for the coveted title and the prestigious Force of Good crown, dazzled the audience with their beauty, poise, and talent, while the event’s judges evaluate their performances.

One of the favourites for the title, Michelle Dee continued to make a great impression on viewers, and the pageant’s judges, in the ‘national costume’ portion of the event with a humourous, plane-like outfit designed by Michael Barassi, that was done in order to “promote local tourism”.

Elsewhere, Lebanon’s Maya Aboul Hosn strutted her way into the final amid stiff competition with only 10 nations advancing to the final round – known as the “Silver Finalist”.

This edition of the competition witnessed numerous groundbreaking moments. Nepal proudly crowned its inaugural plus-size model, Jane Garret, while Pakistan made its debut appearance on the global stage. Celebrations reverberated in the GCC as Lujane Yacoub represented Bahrain for its third entry into the prestigious competition.

How To Watch It In The UAE, Saudi Arabia and The Rest of The GCC
