HE Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Acting Director General of Creative Media Authority, said: “Hosting the premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is an honor for Abu Dhabi and is also a reflection of the position the emirate holds as one of MENA’s top film and TV locations. We are proud to have worked with such a genre-defining franchise once again and it demonstrates how Abu Dhabi has everything filmmakers need to successfully complete such large, complex productions.”

In 2021, the city’s stunning Liwa desert and the busy Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Midfield Terminal played host to the Mission: Impossible crew for a 15-day shoot.

Notably, this is not Cruise’s first brush with the UAE. In 2011, he performed a daring feat for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, where he ascended Dubai’s towering Burj Khalifa, the highest structure in the world.

He also filmed key scenes in Abu Dhabi for Mission: Impossible Fallout, though they were digitally altered to be Paris in post production.

In the last decade, over 140 significant films, including Dune, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Bollywood smash-hits like Tiger Zinda Hai, were shot in Abu Dhabi. This underlines the city’s prominence in the global film industry, a sentiment echoed by the forthcoming premiere.

As Emirates Palace prepares for the red carpet event, attendees eagerly await an evening to remember and a rare opportunity to meet the charismatic Tom Cruise. It’s all systems go in Abu Dhabi; a remarkable cinematic evening awaits. Are you ready to join in?
