“My time at Esquire has taught me many things – principle among them is that shoes are a man’s secret weapon,” Editor-in-chief, Matthew Priest told a packed crowd at Aretha last night to celebrate Esquire Middle East‘s season-opening party in partnership with Cole Haan.

In sensational style, a hand-picked audience of 150 of Dubai’s most stylish were treated to an evening that will live long in the memory, thanks to a catalogue of incredible entertainment, food and drink at the city’s newest (and hottest) dinner-and-show concept, Aretha – located at the St. Regis Gardens on Palm Jumeirah.

Following plenty of revellry and music from resident acts that reflect Dubai’s sleek dynamism, Priest’s welcoming speech expanded on the night’s dress code of ‘Modern Classics’, a phrase that runs to the very core with the famed US footwear and accessories brand, Cole Haan.

With nearly 100-years of honing time-honoured craftsmanship and modern innovation, Cole Haan’s mission remains to disrupt and blur the lines between the traditional 9-to-5 and 5-to-9 – to inspire people to live extraordinary lives.
