Beyonce is about to make history in Dubai, and her return to the stage after a four year absence is already the most talked about musical event of 2023. Want to get tickets? We’re not sure you’re going to like where this is going.

Beyonce’s huge January 21 show, which is set to open the Atlantis The Royal resort, is set to be invite only, with Queen Bey doing a 1 hour set that will be followed by Swedish House Mafia and fireworks on the beach.

Want to get a ticket? You’re going to have to know someone in the know, or perhaps pay a hefty fee on the secondary market to get in to the biggest party of the next year.

As of now, there is no news on whether any ticket will be opened to the public, or if Beyonce will be playing another show in Dubai that will be open to the public (perhaps at the Coca-Cola Arena? Maybe? We can only hope), but we’ll be sure to share that news as soon as it comes out.

According to the Daily Mail sources, tickets have already gone out to a select few, though none have surfaced via social media as of yet.

Atlantis The Royal is set to complement the hugely popular Atlantis The Palm resort, with bookings already available on their website starting February 10. So that means you won’t be able to book on January 21 and perhaps stick your head out the window to hear Beyonce perform songs from her hugely popular new album Renaissance.

According to our friends at Time Out Dubai, chef Nobu and Kendall Jenner are also set to come to Dubai for the event.

“The upcoming mega hotel will be celebrating its opening with a huge ‘Grand Reveal’ event that will see VIP guests attending to see Beyoncé performing a full live concert for the first time in five years,” says Time Out Dubai.

“The exclusive weekend is taking place before the resort opens to guests, and will include a curated itinerary of events and experiences including the Saturday night front-row seats to 60 minutes with Beyoncé, her first live headlined show since 2018.”

Beyonce to Dubai: What we know so far

The deal was apparently signed for $24 million–or AED $88.5 million, for the world’s most popular singer to come perform in the UAE.

Sources have told The Daily Mail that Swedish House Mafia will be DJing the after party.

“This will be Beyonce’s first proper live show since she performed at the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg in December 2018,” a source told the outlet. “Tickets are like gold dust and it will be a who’s who of the showbiz world on the night.”

Beyonce will also be hosting a two night event at Club Renaissance inviting fans to experience Renaissance in spatial audio, with tickets selling out in minutes. The event took place on December 17 and 18, but did not see Beyonce perform.

Beyonce is a renowned live performer, with her Coachella set still considered one of the greatest in festival history–and one of her last performances to date.
