The UAE is getting ready to celebrate its 49th National Day – and there’s a five-day long holiday across the country.
While things are a little different this year (a bit more socially-distanced, shall we say) there are still a few ways to celebrate the 49th year of the union. From free shows to a new fountain and fireworks galore, here’s a big list of all the ways to celebrate National Day.
Festival City Mall
Festival City will play host to a special light show and not one, but two fireworks displays. This year, restaurants around the mall’s promenade will be letting punters book front-row seats to the display. There will be two shows on December 2nd, from 7pm to 9:15pm and 9:30pm to 11:30pm. You will need to pre-book if you want the best seats.
The Palm Fountain
Dubai’s new Palm Fountain (aka the world’s highest fountain) will be celebrating with fireworks set against the backdrop of the Atlantis and that massive fountain. The show has been put together by Emirati composer Ihab Darwish, and will include a live orchestra. Fireworks will take place starting 9pm and you will be able to book seats to enjoy the show in one of the many restaurants.
