The Good Bartenders is a series of events that puts some of the Middle East’s most successful entrepreneurs through their paces, first during a quick interview session live on stage, and then behind the bar.
Esquire Middle East – in partnership with Chivas Regal – hosted the third instalmentof the series in Dubai last night at the Siddhartha Lounge. The guest of honour (and guest bartender for the night) was Thomas Lundgren, the founder and ‘Creative Emotional Originator’ of THE One furniture store.
In conversationwith Esquire’s editor-in-chief, Matthew Baxter-Priest, Lundgren entertained the crowd with anecdotesfrom his journey from a childhood council estate in Sweden, to self-made furniture mogul with 31 stores in eight countries.
Following the well-received talk, Lundgren went behind the bar and made cocktails for the guests, showing a deft touch at carving balls from ice blocks. And a good night was had by all.
