City Walk will host the 3rd edition of ‘City Overdrive’, bringing together 85 modified, super-tuned, 4X4 and classic cars as well as trikes and monster trucks spreading along City Walk’s promenade and Al Mustaqbal Street. Petrol-heads and civilians can enjoy the free event between 13 and 22 April with all things automotive including a range of thrilling activities and underground parties.
The fastest car in the world Devil 16 will be there as well as the limited edition 1990 Mercedes EVO 2 and a Nissan patrol that appeared on The Grand Tour tv show. An elite selection of car and bike owners will be putting their vehicles on show during both weekends and for Dhs.100 ‘Drift Planet’ will have you drifting with a professional driver.
Auto tuning companies will be ‘pimping rides’ in a competition to see best car transformation for engine, interior, exterior, sound and lights. ‘Top Performance’ a tuning company, will completely strip down a classic 1971 Nissan Datson Z240 to its chasse and potentially modify it into something Xzibit will be proud of.
Party goers are expected to be delighted with a series of underground parties hosted by European Mobile Media Association (EMMA), taking place on 14 and 21 April in the basement parking of the destination. Modified cars, open hoods, roaring engines and a sound system competition, sounds like that scene form Fast and the Furious, will all be part of the underground parties. .
