Just when you thought the gigs couldn’t get better…

Boom! It’s F1 time again. On the track the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will host one of the most hotly contested driver’s championships on record as defending champ Lewis Hamilton will look to steal the title from the grasps of his teammate Nico Rosberg.

Off the track, however, the contest to be Abu Dhabi’s biggest party weekend is a bit one-sided. Although we have seen a who’s who of music’s biggest stars (Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, Blur) headline the Yasalam After-Race concerts in previous years, this year’s line-up is particularily special.

The Chemical Brothers

The electronic duo will be playing on the 25th November at the du Arena and are something special. Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons have been around for two decades now and are seen to have changed the way electronic music is performed live. With four Grammy awards, an MTV Europe music award and a Brit award, the pair have reached the top of EDM world and now look to show Abu Dhabi what it’s all about.

Lionel Richie

After the second day of the F1 a legend will step on stage, Lionel Richie. Known as one of the best sing along artists, he himself promises that, ‘we are going to have a party all night long’. The RnB specialist was the final act announced for this year’s post-race concerts and for us is the icing on the cake, reassuring that there will be a mix of sounds all weekend.

Rihanna

The closing F1 act, on Sunday 27th November will be pop queen Rihanna. Being the top selling digital artist of all time, Rihanna has decided to swing by Abu Dhabi, making it the only Middle Eastern date on her 40 show and multi-continent, Anti World Tour. The best out of Barbados is coming to greet the Yasalam post-race crowd!

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and after-race concerts will take place from 25-27th November, tickets of various types are still available – however, whichever one you decide to get, there will be free access to the post-race concerts for the day(s) that you buy. Can be bought here
