It’s hard to ignore that Egyptian actor, Ahmed Malek’s spell-binding pull has began to captivate audiences worldwide. His charisma, relatability and bankability are three indicators that his talent set for very big things indeed.
So it doesn’t surprise anyone at Esquire that our former Cover star recently got the nod from famed French luxury maison, Cartier, to join its growing clutch of Middle East ambassadors. He pretty much told us last year in an interview, putting it plainly: “I just want to do stuff.”

The new announcement as a face for Cartier definitely qualifies as ‘stuff’. With over 32 credits in his short career, the 27-year-old breakout star of Netflix’s The Swimmers , has plenty of other ‘stuff’ on his list that he’s already checked off.
Malek has appeared in a staggering 10 films in the last two years, and the high-fashion industry’s notice of the star comes as an approving, “we see you” head-nod from the luxury house.
“I just literally don’t count. I feel I’m doing what I’m supposed to do. I think it’s about milestones rather than quantity”, he told Esquire in 2022.

This marks a big milestone for the actor, joining the likes of influential celebs such as Rami Malek, Willow Smith, Troye Sivan, Maisie Williams, and Jackson Wang. Malek already has more than a few feathers in his cap though, appearing in the highest grossing film in Egyptian cinema history- Kira & El Gin in 2022.
