Boba Fett, the bounty hunter portrayed by Temuera Morrison is one of the most recognizable characters in all of Star Wars. However, the New Zealand actor initially began hunting targets across the galaxy as his father, the bounty hunter Jango Fett in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and most recently, as his son or clone if you will, in the 2021 Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett.

Speaking to GAMINGbible at this year’s Star Wars Celebration, the actor heavily implied that a new Star Wars game is on the way as he’s been in the studio recording voice lines for a new video game.
“The gaming is where it’s all at, because with a movie or a TV show it’s all over but with a game, you can be there a bit longer. There will be some coming, I can let you know that.”
Boba Fett and Din Djarin team up?
Last year, it was rumored that a Mandalorian video game was in the works as industry insider Nick “Shpeshal Ed” Baker confirmed on Twitter that a game was in development. Perhaps the game that Morrison is providing voice over for is the same one seemingly confirmed by Baker? Maybe this game will feature a team up between Din Djarin portrayed by Pedro Pascal in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and Boba Fett as seen in The Book of Boba Fett?
Morrison has provided his voice and likeness to Boba and Jango Fett in many video game titles such as Star Wars: Bounty Hunter as well as both the original and reboot versions of the Star Wars Battlefront series. Aside from bounty hunters, he’s also portrayed the clone troopers who serve the Galactic Republic and are known to battle the droids, commonly referred to as “clankers” throughout the Star Wars prequel series.
“I do a few voices for those video games. Very hard work, harder than acting,” says Morrison describing his experience providing voiceover for video games.
“You try and get some emotion into a voiceover, all the instructions as well, you know? ‘Turn left, go right, you missed, try again’.”

Despite the challenges of voice work, the actor had mentioned that he had a lot of fun lending his voice to 2005’s Republic Commando which was remastered and released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch last year and was enthusiastic about the idea of working on a Boba Fett video game.
Upcoming Star Wars games
While a Boba Fett game hasn’t been officially confirmed, Star Wars fans can look forward to Star Wars: Hunters, a new multiplayer game coming out on mobile and Nintendo Switch later this year, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order coming out in 2023 and Star Wars: Eclipse which is still early in development.
