Fun fact: on June 26 of the year 2000, Chris Martin of the band Coldplay released the song ‘Yellow’.

(Stay with us here).

Four years later, Chris Martin and his then-wife Gwyneth Paltrow would celebrate the arrival of their daughter, whom they called ‘Apple’.

(I think you can see where this is going).

Fast-forward to September 1st, 2010, and Chris Martin would play out Steve Jobs at the end of Apple’s special event (it introduced a new iPod Shuffle).

What song did the Coldplay lead start with? ‘Yellow’.

(Now you get it).

And today, in the year 2023, the story that started way back when is complete; Apple has released a Yellow iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.

The yellow iPhone 14 and 14 Plus models are available for pre-order on March 10, and will be shipped to customers starting March 14. The phones feature a slew of updates over the previous iPhone 13, including an A16 chip for faster performance and longer battery life, a larger and brighter display, and an improved camera system.

The new color joins a range of other options, including blue, red, and purple.

Apple doesn’t have much history with Yellow (the colour, not the song – it has a lot of history with Chris Martin as evident above).

The only other product to feature a yellow hue has been the 24-inch iMac and last year’s iPad (10th generation).
