Another day, another big-name sneaker drop. However, we have to admit feeling something special for Bad Bunny’s adidas Originals Response CL Triple Black colourway. It’s a stirring telling us that, amongst a slew of eye-watering shoes dropping this summer, this unassuming silhouette could be the one that you can pretty much wear anywhere?

But first, the details. ThIS shoe is undoubtedly built for the flex points, but the latest edition of the Response CL is about performance away from street style, too. With an aim to redefine the classic puffed up, chunky style of the 2000s, Benito (that’s Bad Bunny if you didn’t know) offers a sneaker that seeks to reinvent the world of running by taking it to the streets. It’s a lofty goal but, typically, he’s doing it in a way that only he knows how. The Triple Black also shows us how the “melted” leather overlays represent the fluidity and freedom that you’ll find specifically in a street run

Bad Bunny and adidas Originals have previous, of course. In fact the first Response CL collab dropped only last year, initially releasing with “Yellow” and “Cream White” colourway options.

You could say that 2022 was a good year for Bad Bunny. Sneaker drops aside, he became the highest grossing artist for a calendar year in live events history, earning $435.2 million with over 2.4 million tickets sold across 81 shows. He dominated streaming platforms—having been proclaimed the most listened to artist globally on Spotify for three consecutive years—and was named 2022 artist of the year by Apple Music. The first time a Latin artist received the recognition since the Apple Music Awards launched in 2019.

The latest Response CL release will be available in-store, online, on the CONFIRMED app, and in the adidas flagship store starting June 24 and is priced approximately $160.
