The 14th Abu Dhabi Art Fair has opened to the public and is the largest event to date. Held under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the diverse lineup at this year’s event includes 80 galleries from 28 countries representing more than 300 global artists. Upon pre registering online, there are over 900 pieces of art available for your viewing pleasure, and best of all, entry is free of charge.

This year’s edition will feature 33 new galleries joining from Colombia, France, Tunisia, Italy, Nigeria, South Korea, Italy, Morocco, Turkey, the UAE and beyond, as well as a rich, curated fair programme experience. In addition to the artworks, various prolific curators and art historians will be in attendance, running programs and even feature culinary experiences run by renowned chefs!

Gateway-My Life in the Metaverse

The Metaverse has been everywhere this year, both in the arts sphere and the retail space. Dr Omar Kholeif has curated the Gateway exhibition which will be on display from 16 November 2022 to 22 January 2023. It is a multidisciplinary exhibition featuring works from artists from around the world, viewers will be guided through a simulation by the curators alter ego “Dr.O”.
Focus- New Tomorrows
Art historian, Professor of Philosophy, and curator Triki is the guest curator of this year’s Focus section, under the theme New Tomorrows. The section will spotlight galleries and artists from North Africa and explore the artistic evolution of the region. Abu Dhabi Art has also appointed gallerist Turanli, of Pi Artworks, and journalist Mandrini as guest curators for the fair, each bringing in a number of new galleries. Turanli will focus on galleries and artists from Türkiye, including first time exhibitors Dirimart and Galeri Nev İstanbul, whilst Mandrini will bring together galleries from around the world with diverse programmes, including Mazzoleni, P420 and Dep Art Gallery.
