With the world counting down to the international release date, the anticipation behind Greta Gerwig’s most ambitious film yet has been palpable for the whole year leading up to Barbie’s release.

Barbie Ken

The film opens July 20th worldwide- but with the UAE release date being pushed back to August 31st, the Barbie premiere makes us all the more hyped, and all the less patient.

The star studded cast, impressive marketing campaign, and early reviews have us thinking that the film’s sure to be a knockout at the box office.

It seems that regardless of age, sex or gender, if you’re a fan of original takes in film, you’ll have your eyes peeled to grab a ticket ASAP.

For now though, Esquire have our eyes on the sharpest looks we saw on the pink carpet.

Top 5 Best Dressed Men at the Barbie Premiere

5. Xolo Maridueña

DC’s newest hero looks poles apart from his character in Netflix’s Cobra Kai- Xolo seems comfortably slick in this Cowboy-Kenesque look. The kid definitely understood the assignment in the polished salmon camp and vintage outfit.

4. Josh Richards

Reminiscent of Miami Vice’s James “Sonny” Crockett, the podcaster/TikTok influencer effortlessly embodies the 1980s influence of the Gerwig film- The Playboy Pinup loafers are a nice touch.

3. FINNEAS

In another Don Johnson classic of flamboyant print-under-white, Finneas O’Connell pulled up in a relaxed-fitted suit with pleats throughout the length of this vacation inspiring look.

2. Simu Liu

Simu Liu reminding Barbie-Pink fans not to sleep on Ken-Blue. The chest piece and accessories make sure that the suit isn’t too boring for a cultural moment as big as this- Simu shows support for his co-star Dua Lipa by wearing this look from her Versace collaboration.

1. Ryan Gosling

Let’s not pretend the number one spot was ever up for contention. Gosling emanates old-money (k)energy that’ll have thousands of men buying pink suits in an attempt to replicate this look.

Whether they’ll be able to make it look as good is up for debate, but what we know for sure is that the men on this carpet made clear that Barbie, is not a one woman show.
