Comedian declares himself the fastest man in the world

Kevin Hart annihilated Usain Bolt in a race this week. Beat him completely.

Crossed the finish line meters before him and declared himself “the fastest man in the world.” Sort of. He also had the advantage of a 30-meter head start. But when you’re competing against the literal fastest man in the world, you take what you can get.

Hart and Bolt are wrapped up in a =”feud” that dates back a year, with PokerStart setting up various challenges that pit the two against each other. The finale of the stunt is two parts: this 100-meter dash and a poker game, refereed by Daniel Negreanu, the world’s highest earning live cards player.

All said, it’s impressive enough that Hart was able to keep such distance between them—Bolt is the nine-time Olympic gold medalist who plowed across the finish line a full fifth of a second ahead of the competition in 2008, then went on to so handily beat the other sprinters in 2016 that he had time to shoot a grin back for the camera.

But maybe it shouldn’t be so surprising—Hart finished the New York City Marathon last year with an admirable time of 4 hours and 5 minutes, even after hitting a wall 20 miles in. The man can run.
