Introducing the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control – a watch that dates back to 1992 and refers to the brand’s ’1,000 hours control’ certification (where the entire watch, not just the movement, has been thoroughly tested).
The watch was announced at this year’s Waches & Wonders but is soon to be available in Middle East boutiques.
There are three relaunched pieces in the collection, including a Master Control Date model in a 40mm steel case and a Master Control Calendar model in either in a 40mm steel case or crafted out of a new pink gold dubbed ‘Le Grand Rose gold’.

Accoridng to Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO Catherine Renier, these new models are “an aesthetical and technical redesign of the classic featuring its iconic 1000-hour control and an enhanced calibre reaching 70 hours of power reserve.”

The last Master Control Model is the collection’s most complicated. It comes with a new Master Control Chronograph Calendar casing, and is available in either steel or Le Grand Rose gold.

The Master Control line is currently Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most classic range of watches, after the more contemporary Futurematic, Powermatic and Memovox. That said, there is plenty of contemporary flair to be had – including the new easy-swap Novonappa calfskin leather straps.
In other watch news, the much-storied brand Accutron has just released its new Spaceview 2020 watch – a fantastic nod to the original quartz watch from the 1960s. Here’s why it’s the ultimate geek watch.
