It’s built to withstand just about anything; even lunar gravity

Fun fact: planetary surface exploration vehicles such as the buggies NASA used on lunar missions are electric.

Another fun fact: NASA recently partnered up with Elon Musk’s SpaceX to launch American astronauts to the International Space Station. Elon Musk also owns Tesla, which makes electric vehicles (do you see where we’re going with this…?)

Introducing the NASA x Tesla Cybertruck concept, put together by Charlie Automotive design.

The body of the Cybertruck remains standard (it’s built to withstand armaggedon anyway) but features an extra axle with specialized wheels that will allow the truck to get over harsh terrain; ravines and asteroid craters, etc.

There’s a communications dish on the top to get word back to base, and the main trailer holds life support equipment for extended trips away from base.

Yes, this is just a concept right now – but we don’t think Nasa chose Elon Musk’s SpaceX (and transported the astronauts by Tesla on launch day) by accident.
