TikTok has over 1 billion monthly active users. That’s a lot of people. And according to a recent study, Dubai is the most popular travel destination on the titanic social media app, with over 29.7 million posts.
Dubai is notable for its opulent lifestyle, cleanliness, public safety, endless list of activities, and boasts the second most five-star hotels in the world, one of the most popular being Atlantis, The Palm, which has over 1,500 rooms. And The Burj Al Arab claims to be the only seven star hotel in the world.
Coming in second place is London, with over 10.3 million TikTok posts, which is a bit amusing as many of Dubai’s expats actually migrated to the Emirate from London, or surrounding, nearby cities. Still, with nearly 20 million visitors every year, London is one of the most visited cities in Europe and one of the most iconic cities in the world.
Coming in third is Paris, which, considering this year’s summer Olympics, one can’t help but be surprised that it wasn’t first on the list. Still, Paris boasts one of the world’s most sustainable transportations systems and is one of only two cities to have been awarded the Sustainable Transport Award on two separate occasions.
Here is the entire list below, gathered from Bounce.

Abu Dhabi also made the list, coming in at number 8, and with the rapidly growing landscape of other Arabic nations, don’t be surprised to see Riyadh popping up on this list soon.
Additionally, the report noted that 46% of Gen Z are traveling much more frequently, yet due to their environmental concerns, are openly willing to adapt their behaviour to better serve the planet.
