Patriarchy disrupted.

Keira Knightley is taking on Miss World in the first trailer for Misbehaviour.

Directed by Three Girls director Philippa Lowthorpe, Misbehaviour stars the Pirates of the Caribbean actress as a founding member of the Women’s Liberation Movement which famously disrupted the 1970 live broadcast of the Miss World pageant, hosted that year in London.

The film also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Miss Grenada contestant Jennifer Hosten, the first ever black woman to win Miss World at that very same pageant.

Did someone say girl power?

Misbehaviour also stars Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard), Jessie Buckley (Chernobyl), Leslie Manville, Greg Kinnear, Rhys Ifans and Phyllis Logan.

The trailer sees frustrated mother Sally (Knightley) join up with a group of like-minded women to take on the misogyny of the Miss World pageant, while also following the plight of two contestants of colour, Miss Grenada (Mbatha-Raw) and Miss South Africa.

Certain clips also give fans glimpses at the Miss World contestants growing tired of the chauvinistic actions of Miss World host, Bob Hope (Kinnear).
