Well, Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) has announced additional courses with the arrival of two new training boats, allowing you and your aspiring skipper friends to one day command the seas like you do your LinkedIn profile. With the latest courses, DOSC will be offering some truly incredible options to help you gain sailing qualifications and eventually a skippers license, resulting in your unequivocal status as coolest guy at the boat party.

DOSC is the premier RYA Training centre of the Middle East offering many types of sailing courses, powerboat and wing foiling.

Below are the details of the new set of courses:

  • Marina Manoeuvers:

This course aims to consolidate existing skills and develop new ones in boat handling, tailored for existing skippers.

  • Spinnaker Course:

Learn the art of flying a spinnaker, and all the details that go with it.

  • RYA/ World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival Course and Sea Survival

Get prepared to stay alive in an emergency, by learning more about survival equipment and procedures.

  • Rya Day Skipper Theory Course

This is a comprehensive classroom based course covering  the background  knowledge required to skipper a small yacht.

  • RYA Diesel Engine

Prevent and solve Diesel engine issues- Learn to diagnose and fox your engine.

  • RYA First Aid

Immediate medical action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers .

  • RYA Day Skipper Practical:

This course is to change your mindset from crew to skipper, making the decisions and ensuring safe passage.

  • RYA Start Yachting and competent crew based

An introductory course offering hands on experience in yacht steering, sail handling, rope work and on-board living.

  • RYA Marine Radio SRC Course and assessment

Correct operation of a radio is necessity, and this course is a recommended for all VHF Radio users.
