After years of rumors, we finally know exactly what the much-discussed, staggering Last night HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved a new master plan for Palm Jebel Ali, a ground-breaking project (even for the UAE) as part of their iconic Dubai 2040 objective.

Palm Jebel Ali: What will it include?
The long-awaited tourism magnet is set to encapsulate 80 hotels, sprawling green spaces, and array of leisure and retail offerings across an impressive 13.4 square kilometers.
Hot on the heels of Sheikh Mohammed‘s recent announcement outlining Dubai’s pioneering beach development vision, the unveiling of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan adds further momentum to the emirate’s drive for constant progress.
With a grand objective of extending the Dubai’s beaches by a staggering 400 percent by 2040, the plan encompasses a series of remarkable projects that include enclosed beach areas, scenic walkways, as well as trendy cafes and dining spots, reports WAM.
By 2025, the intention is to elevate the services offered on public beaches by an impressive 300 percent. These bold initiatives underline Dubai’s unwavering commitment to creating exceptional coastal experiences for its residents and visitors alike.
The project will add nearly 110km of coastline to Dubai, offering beachside living to 35,000 families and proving once again that the the sky, sands, and oceans are no limit for the ambitious individuals that make this city renowned on the world stage.

Sheikh Mohammed introduced the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan last year—a strategic blueprint designed to cater to the burgeoning population and propel the emirate towards its most ambitious development objectives.

Joining His Highness Sheik Mohammed were Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed– the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed– the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Mohammed Al Shaibani, a prominent figure in Dubai’s leadership circle as the Director General of The Ruler’s Court of Dubai, Managing Director of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, and Chairman of Nakheel.
