The anticipation is building

Continuing to keep the hype going, a new trailer has dropped for the new and (still be to seen) improved debut of BBC’s flagship motoring show Top Gear, and it features Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit (albeit briefly).

The hype-wagon of the new and (potentially) improved BBC flagship motoring show continues to keep its audience drip-fed on short, action-packed snippets, with the latest sneak peek from the new season featuring hosts tackling a huge variety of locations, vehicles and celebrity mates including the likes of Seasick Steve, Sharleen Spiteri and Tinie Tempah.

The new clip shows show hosts, Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evans being welcomed to a rainy windy city of Blackpool, by the mayor who ironically dubs it the ‘greatest city in the world’. Even in these murky conditions, the new Top Gear saturated look is really evident, and only continues to become more so as the trailer showcases more beautiful shots around the world.

The highlight for us in the entire trailer is the two-second glimpse of Chris Harris going all out in an Aston Martin Vulcan at Abu Dhabi ‘s Yas Marina Grand Prix circuit. It could’ve been a little longer, but we’re going to take what we can get for now. Judging by the trailer, some of the cars the new season seems geared to showcase range from the Ferrari 250GT TdF, to the Dodge Viper ACR, and even Willy Jeep.

Even though it remains to be seen as whether or not the new hosts can fill in the massive shoes left behind, one thing is undeniable at this point, and that is the new show will be a visual treat for motor enthusiasts around the world. Check out the trailer below to see for yourself.
