Those ever-present Apple rumours were rife again this week, but rather than the iPhone8 the focus was the Apple Watch. Whispers from within the walls of Apple’s Copertino fortress are saying that the ‘Apple watch 3’ will be released towards the end of the year or, at the latests, early 2018.
What’s so special about this release? Well, for the previous two editions, the Apple watch has been an add-on; a piece of accessory that requires an iPhone to function to its maximum use. But this time around, Apple are looking to give its watch independence – to make it a ‘must have’ piece of tech in its own right.
The Apple Watch 3 is expected be an LTE watch that will allow users to perform tasks without having an iPhone around. Which means that you’ll be able to make phone calls using your watch without having a phone around.
Just like every previous version of the Apple Watch, it will come with a new Operating System – the WatchOS4. The new edition, is expected to come along with GymKit; an app that will allow you to connect your watch to your training equipment.
With a micro LED display, facetime camera, long-life battery and an appealing design; we surely can’t wait to get our hands on one of those.
