When it comes to racing, few watch brands can rival the historical milage of TAG Heuer. World renowned for its chronographs, the Swiss watchmaker already has a range of well established timepieces dedicated to racing including the iconic Carrera, the quasi-iconic Monaco, the much-loved Autavia, and the Monza.

Due to the wide scope of TAG Heuer’s range, the Monza might not traditionally be the most well-known racing-associated timepiece in the brand’s 160 history, but that could change with the reveal of a revamped TAG Heuer Monza at LVMH Watch Week 2023.

While it shares the same name as the classic watch originally introduced in 1976, the new TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer is very much a contemporary tribute.

The striking ultra-lightweight 42mm carbon case houses the Monza’s TAG Heuer COSC-certified in-house Caliber Heuer 02 COSC Flyback movement. While the red and blue colourway lights up the skeletonised dial and the tachymeter scale on the outer ring.

The original TAG Heuer Monza was released in 1975 after Ferrari won the Formula One constructors championship, as a dedication to the team that the watch brand sponsored, and to its driver Niki Lauda.

“The 2023 TAG Heuer Monza is a very special reinterpretation of its famed ancestor,” says Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer. “Its unmistakable racing spirit comes alive in a bold and resolutely modern way, showcasing TAG Heuer’s most advanced expertise in dial design and performance timekeeping.”
