Mike Tyson, John Wick, Brock Lesner, Liam Neeson’s character from Taken are all names that are currently on our list of people to avoid pissing off at all costs. This week we added the unknown Slovakian kickboxer Pavel Trusov to that list.
The 25-year-old mixed martial artist has just smashed the world record for most full-extension punches thrown in one minute. After six months of solid training, which reportedly involved interval work, powerlifting for muscle mass and CrossFit session for stamina, the Slovakian knockout artist busted out a whopping 322 punches in 60 seconds.
In accordance to Guinness World Records rules each punch had to be a ‘full extension punch’ which is defined as a forceful strike with the fist where the arm is fully extended and full retracted in between strikes.
Now officially the record holder, Trusov began practising martial arts since he was six years old.
“It was during this training that I learned what incredible muscle pain was,” said Trusov. “But family support is the best motivational medicine.”
