The new RTA app is part of the city’s digital transformation

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that motorists or drivers are now able to earn loyalty points on nol Plus by paying parking fees through RTA Dubai app.

This initiative is aimed to deliver superior services and boost the digital transformation of Dubai.  It reflects the standing commitment of RTA to maximise the happiness of customers, be it visitors citizens or tourists descending on the city.

Through this initiative, RTA seeks to encourage parking users to use their parking accounts to pay parking charges.Customers can recharge their parking accounts through nol card, mPay or ePay, the RTA stated in a announcement.

The inherent purpose of linking loyalty points with this smart payment of parking fees is to encourage the public to use the smart programs and benefit from features provided, for example parking surcharges can ultimately be used to detect vacant parking slots (making it easier to find a decent place to park) and get a record of past transactions.

Users may earn and utilize their reward points in the form of balance added to nol discounts or cards at a variety of entertainment or purchasing outlets, restaurants and cafes. The initiative will increase the transformation of providers by raising the number of consumers of RTA programs and encouraging public transportation riders to use nol card to pay taxi fares or their bus.

Therefore, it matches well with Dubai and RTA Government plans for a digital future.

RTA is keen to continue with the services that offer to boost the happiness of people, especially transport users, and contribute to the efforts of increasing the profile and the ranking of Dubai to become one of the smartest cities in the world.
