Ahmed Abdelrahman
Fashion designer

In a true example of East-meets-West, this UAE-born designer took the clean, white kandora we all know and love, and reimagined it for the fashion world.
Abdelrahman’s vision was to combine Italian tailoring with Middle East sensibility and create a dark, modern aesthetic with attractive silhouettes.
The move helped him brake into international markets with his designs now available from Selfridges in London, to Barneys in New York, Maxfield in Los Angeles and Ink-Clothing in Beijing. on top of that, his brand Thamanyah (meaning ‘eight’) was nominated for the prestigious Woolmark Prize.
