Football and menswear icon, David Beckham is everywhere at the moment. Notably due to the huge success of his eponymous Netflix documentary, and the fact that Leo Messi now plies his trade at the Beckham-owned team Inter Miami FC, but get ready because Brand Beckham is about to get a new caffeine injection with the announcement that he is the new ambassador for Nespresso.
Ubiquitous to nearly every hotel room worth staying in, Nespresso’s global hold over the push-button-for-good-coffee game is as good as, well, David Beckham’s right foot.
A seemingly easy link up considering Beckham’s acknowledgement that he is a coffee aficionado – now he can begins every morning with a cup of Nespresso’s best.
Beckham joins the Nespresso family, alongside the previous, longstanding face of the brand, owner of the smoothest voice in Hollywood, George Clooney (perhaps Morgan Freeman deserves first place in that category, it’s up for debate).
Despite its reputation as tea capital of the world, in 2023, the UK officially became a certified nation of coffee lovers, with the number of coffee drinkers (63%) eclipsing the centuries of tea fanatics (59%).
“David Beckham has always had an unforgettable style, taste and passion for creating elevated experiences which are many of the qualities of Nespresso,”said Anna Lundstrom, CEO for Nespresso in the UK.
“We are delighted to be working with David to showcase his genuine love for the nation’s favourite drink and his journey of coffee discovery, as well as showing how even the routine coffee moments; with family, with friends, and ourselves, can make every day even more meaningful.”

“I’ve always loved Nespresso coffee,” David Beckham said. “Whether I am having a quiet moment at home with my family or preparing myself for a business meeting, the variety of blends is great, it’s so simple to make and every cup tastes incredible.”
So when considering the question, “tell me what you want, what you really really want”, the answer for Beckham was clearly a cup of coffee.
