New Creed II trailer looks magnificent
The Russians need to quit while they're ahead, guys.
The newest trailer for Creed II is here and Adonis/Donnie Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) is still out for vengeance. Years after Ivan Drago killed his father, Adonis will be taking on Drago's son, Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu). Fortunately, he's not going in alone—Stallone returns as Creed's confidant and trainer, Rocky Balboa, and from the looks of this trailer, he'll need the coaching.
The first trailer gave us a first look at those intense training scenes and Drago's jacket, but trailer two takes it up a notch. This one? It comes with a formal challenge from Drago himself. As everything kicks off in Creed II, ol' Donnie has risen to the newly minted status of light heavyweight champion. Guess Ricky Conlan was right after all. But things change real quick when he has to face the demons of his father's demise. The only problem is that no one wants him to do this: his family or Rocky.
Jordan, the man leading the fight (and the film), posted this to Twitter yesterday teasing the trailer.
Someone's clearly been hitting the gym. That's not just a boxing flex though—that's the new poster for the film, coming out this Thanksgiving. It's been three years since Creed came out and clocked nearly $200 million at the box office. And after that trailer, one thing is for certain. We are overdue for this battle.
