Great at stalking Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram and think you could do it in real life? Have we got the dream job for you: A magazine in Saudi Arabia is now accepting applications for a full-time ‘Ronaldo Correspondent’ to cover the football great as he joins the Riyadh-based club Al Nassr today for a record $214 million a year.
The Ronaldo reporter will be working for Arabian Business, one of the Middle East’s leading publications, out of the ITP offices in Riyadh, and cover both his football activities as well as search for insights into his entire life in the Kingdom.
“The Ronaldo correspondent…will be required to cover all matches at Al Nassr, media and commercial related events – and provide daily updates and insights into the life of Ronaldo as he settles into Saudi Arabia,” said the listing.

How to become the world’s first Ronaldo Correspondent in Saudi Arabia
“Ronaldo is the biggest star and the biggest story on the planet. It is an industry of its own, and as such it deserves its own full time correspondent. His move to Saudi Arabia keeps Arab soccer firmly on the global stage, and the successful applicant will play a pivotal part in this unfolding story,” says Arabian Business’s Managing Editor Matthew Amlot.
Amlot also makes it clear that this will be a demanding, 24/7 job, as the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star is likely to be one of the main sources of the regional, and global, conversation for the time he spends in the Gulf.
The move has also generated a huge wave of attention. Al Nassr FC has seen their Instagram followers balloon to 7.5 million, when they were under a million as of just a few days ago. Where Cristiano goes, the world watches.

“We want to showcase Ronaldo’s new – and no doubt amazing – life as he begins this new phase of his career with his young family. How he adapts to the culture, his experiences as he tours the country, and of course his performances on the pitch – we will bring our readers, in both English and Arabic, Ronaldo news on a 24/7 basis.”
Where to apply
Want to apply? You’re in luck. Arabian Business is asking CVs to be sent to this email address, with “previous sports reporting experience not essential.”
Applicants will have to be fluent in both English and Arabic, written and spoken, and ready to tell one of the biggest stories the region has ever seen.
Is this your dream job? Have at it. We can’t wait to see what you find.
And in the mean time, let’s keep our eyes glued as the official unveiling kicks off, after Ronaldo arrived last night to superfans giving him flowers, gifts, and more.
See you in Saudi Arabia!
