Inside the Penthouse suite at the JW Marriot Marquis Dubai
Until just recently, the JW Marriot Marquis Dubai was the world’s tallest hotel.
It still reaches almost 360-metres into the sky, however, as two twin skyscraper towers. The hotel was actually inspired by the jagged edges of a palm tree, and towers above the city’s main thoroughfare Sheikh Zayed Road.
This week we are in one of the hotel’s best suites, and no surprises – given what we’ve already said about the height of the hotel – one of the biggest draws here is the view.
The hotel itself is absolutely huge, boasting more than 1,600-rooms. But you wouldn’t know it. With 14-venues and those two towers, the hotel might be full of guests but still seems rather quiet.
Which brings us back to the room. For peace and quiet the Penthouse suite is certainly the way to go. It’s absolutely massive, and certainly gives you enough room to swing the proverbial cat. Expect twin bedrooms, three bathroom and, of course, the token whirlpool bath.
Everything from the cosy living room areas, to the bedrooms and the floor-to-ceiling windows exude a sense of airy luxury, and those staying in this suite also get access to the JW’s famous executive lounge.
If you can pull yourself away from the room, then the hotel boasts a heated and chilled outdoor pool that overlooks the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and a swanky spa with specially-created treatments hailing from Arabia and the Far East.
But if you’re staying at a suite this amazing, why would you ever leave?
