The Art of Shaving’s two-year anniversary in the UAE
- The Art of Shaving is celebrating two years here in the UAE
- The company was originally launched back in 1996
- The brand has three outlets here in the UAE (with many more to come)
- Each location sells The Art of Shaving’s signature products, as well as featuring a barbershop
Last night saw some of the UAE’s best-groomed men and women come together to celebrate The Art of Shaving’s second year anniversary here in the country.
The New York export specializes in hair and beard care, and since opening its first store in Manhattan in 1996, has gone on to also release a range of shaving products (with a little help from its partner company, Gillette). The brand recently pulled the wraps off its third location here in the UAE, at the Dubai Mall. But there are many more locations to come.
The anniversary party took place at City Walk’s The Green Room, a lounge bar created by jazz musicians for jazz musicians in Dubai, and the acts certainly didn’t disappoint. Esquire’s Musician of the Year 2018 Award Winner – Layla Kardan – brought down the house with stellar renditions of some of jazz’s greatest hits.
Guests enjoyed cocktails – served with help from Chivas Regal – as well as The Green Room’s stellar staff, all while The Art of Shaving’s talented barbers helped the already well-groomed crowd look even better. The barbers primped and preened guests from the brand’s signature barbershop chairs, while celebrity artist-come-barber Mike Soliman worked on a special tribute piece celebrating The Art of Shaving.
Speaking at the event, Esquire Editor-in-Chief Matthew Baxter-Priest congratulated the brand on a remarkable two years in the UAE, which has seen The Art of Shaving go from relative obscurity to the country’s leading men’s grooming brand.
“We are here tonight to celebrate The Art of Shaving,” said Baxter-Priest, “a company that helps men around the UAE look and feel their best. Happy Anniversary to the brand, and I look forward to help celebrate many more birthdays with The Art of Shaving here in the UAE in the future”.
The event ended with a raffle, with one lucky winner picking up a limited edition Mammoth Tusk straight-edge razer and the other taking home Soliman’s painting. However, each guest would surely admit that they were all winners – as a good time was had by all.
