Ten million football fans tuned in to the opening of the Women’s World Cup, held this year in Paris.
The opening match alone drew a crowd of 45,261-people at Parc des Princes in Paris. The tournament is being billed as the largest women’s World Cup ever.
The opening game saw France take-on South Korea (with France clinching the win 4-0). All of the games are being broadcast free on the country’s TF1 channel.
The final is set for July 7, in Lyon.
