Before you say anything, yes, we know that the header image is taken from the film Notorious, and is not of the actual Notorious B.I.G. himself, but that doesn’t mean the late rapper’s favourite Versace shades look any less iconic on the actor playing the man in question.

The Medusa Biggies have long been one of the most iconic designs not just in the Versace catalogue, but as a staple of global luxury for for over three decades, and the legendary fashion house has just revived them.

In 1994, Biggie, who had long been a fan of the Versace wardrobe, sported these iconic shades in his music video for ‘One More Chance,’ and thus began the historic collaboration. Their signature attitude and high-luxury design are as synonymous with Biggie as Adidas are with Run DMC, or white t-shirts with James Dean. After that video, the shades were renamed to the Biggie Medusa in his honour, and have been worn by everyone from Migos and Lady Gaga to that aspiring rapper you grew up with in high school.
