The WWE is bringing one of its most popular events to Saudi Arabia, with the ‘King and Queen of the Ring’ event to be held at the Jeddah Superdome this weekend, May 25.

The event will see the final of both the ‘King of the Ring’ and ‘Queen of the Ring’ tournaments, to see who will be bestowed the accolade.

While the ‘King of the Ring’ knock-out style tournament is one of the most storied in events in WWE history, the event in Jeddah is the first time see the debut of the ‘Queen of the Ring’ tournament – previously known as the ‘Queen’s Crown Tournament’ which was inaugurated at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh in 2021.

At the Premium Live Event, the Red Sea city will host the final match up of the King of The Ring for the first time since 2021, with WWE superstar Gunther facing either Randy Orton or Tama Tonga.

Meanwhile, the first-ever ‘Queen of The Ring’ will be decided in a match between newcomer Lyra Valkiria and the winner of Nia Jaxx and Bianca Belair.

The Premium Live Event begins at 8pm (KSA) / 9pm (UAE) and tickets start at AED 68 and can be purchased here. It will air in the region via Shahid and MBC, the only source with Arabic commentary.

Meanwhile, WWE King and Queen of the Ring will be headlined by Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul in a Championship vs. Championship match. Rhodes is defending his recent Undisputed WWE Championship after he cemented his status at WWE Backlash: France.

What is King and Queen of the Ring?

It’s a historical WWE tradition with legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Booker T and William Regal all having been crowned kings in the past.

WWE King and Queen of the Ring gathers the top stars from Raw and SmackDown for a night of pile-drivers and chair smashing, crowning new WWE royalty. And for the first time, the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments will be held together. Originally established in 1985 as a men’s single-elimination tournament, the King of the Ring now has its female counterpart with the Queen of the Ring tournament, introduced in 2021.

How Does the Tournament Work?

To win the undisputed crown, wrestlers must face off for a coveted spot in the WWE King and Queen of the Ring finals. The first round occurred on May 6 on Monday Night Raw and May 10 on Friday Night SmackDown. The quarterfinals took place on May 13 and May 17, followed by the semifinals on May 20 and May 24.
