Born 88 years apart in places separated by 13,637kms, Bruce McLaren and Jack Daniel were men with vision. They were pioneers, they were dreamers, and their legacy lives on.
Born in 1849 in Lynchburg, Tennessee, Daniel established the Jack Daniel’s Distillery in 1866 and set in motion a company and brand that would go on to become iconic. McLaren, a New Zealander with racing in his DNA, was born in Auckland in 1937. A Formula 1 driver from 1958 to 1970, McLaren founded a Formula 1 Team in 1963 that has had an indelible impact on motorsport and remains a powerhouse in the sport with 12 Drivers’ Championships.
Having discovered a natural synergy, these brands now pursue a common goal together: to excel in what they do while providing good times for their legions of fans around the world.
In 2023, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey revealed a limited edition bottle to mark its proud partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team. Now in their second year of partnership, Jack Daniel’s has again produced a special bottle to celebrate another successful campaign. Bearing an eye-catching striped label in McLaren’s Formula 1 Team colours of papaya and anthracite, the whiskey is mellowed through 10 feet of charcoal before maturing in new, handcrafted American white oak barrels.
As the thunderous 2024 Formula 1 season draws to a close, Jack Daniel’s and McLaren Formula 1 Team reflect on another wild ride. Throughout the autumn, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey delighted fans across the UAE with a series of events that showcased both the party spirit and history of the beloved whiskey and its distinctive square bottle.
Held at Jack’s Garage pop-ups in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the American whiskey brand invited fans to enjoy exhilarating experiences that tested their driving skills and reflexes, while gifting highly prized gear. Customers were also able to enter a prize draw upon buying a bottle of Jack Daniel’s that gave them the opportunity to win exclusive branded merchandise, including a personalised Jack Daniel’s pit crew shirt.
