Sharjah investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) have just announced that construction of a new retail waterfront destination, the Kalba Waterfront is almost complete and scheduled to open in the final quarter of 2022.

The AED 122 million project is a joint venture between Shurooq and Eagle Hills Development and is located in Sharjah’s Eastern Region of Kalba. It is said to span an area of 183,000 square metres. There are a few investment opportunities still available for those with an interest in the area.

“Kalba Waterfront boasts a magnificent view of a serene lagoon lined by mangroves, surrounded by the most beautiful natural scenery. The mall offers an outdoor shopping experience, along with a variety of indoor and outdoor restaurants and a children’s play area” said Shurooq.

Acting CEO of Shurooq, Ahmer Obaid Al Qaseer stated that the Kalba Waterfront will feature 80 units of both indoor and outdoor dining outlets and large promenade that will line the lagoon. It will also feature a 1,600 square metre playing area that will cater to a wide range of activities for all age groups.

Visitors can expect to find skating tracks, trampolines, rope walking, wall climbing, video games, simulators as well as a free-fall platform.
