New ‘Stranger Things’ trailer: things are heating up in Hawkins
- The latest trailer for Stranger Things season 3 is chock full of 80s charm
- Along with the trailer release, fans have got a look at the new posters for the show
- The show and this trailer features the 1984 Coca-Cola rebrand flop
Netflix just gave Stranger Things fans with a new trailer titled ‘Summer in Hawkins’, as well as a host of new posters for the upcoming third instalment.
The Stranger Things season 3 trailer shows Billy, played by Dacre Montgomery, strutting along a pool as the lifeguard. The short clip also features Mrs. Wheeler, played by Cara Buono, as well as a host of awesome 80s goodness. All the characters on screen rock an almost comedic 80s hairdo, style, and mannerism.
Also in the clip we can see the ladies sipping on ‘New Coke’, the Coca-Cola reformulation from 1984 that ultimately flopped. Despite this though, and in honour of the Netflix show, Coca-Cola have announced its bringing back the ‘New Coke’ cans just like the ones in this trailer.
Along with this teaser trailer, Netflix dropped a series of posters. The posters include Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Will (Noah Schnapp), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo). Each poster has the statement above of “One summer can change everything” along with an eye-catching neon backdrop, similar to all the flashiness we saw in earlier seasons in the arcade.
